Every lesson on this platform came from a job site — usually from getting it wrong first, at our own expense.
The founder
Decades in the trades. Most of it learning the business the hard way.
I started out like most tradesmen do: good with my hands, terrible with numbers. I priced jobs by feel, wrote estimates on the back of receipts, and thought being busy was the same thing as being profitable. I worked six days a week and still lay awake doing math I didn't understand.
The turning point wasn't a course or a guru. It was a job that went sideways with no contract, no change order and no warranty language — and cost me more than a month of income. That's when I learned that craftsmanship keeps you employed, but professionalism is what makes you money.
Over the years that followed I rebuilt the business around a simple idea: be the contractor customers wish they'd found first. Real numbers. Real paperwork. Calls returned. Warranty honored. Prices that reflected the standard, not the competition.
